Christian Osio was born in San Antonio, Texas. He spent his childhood in the small, ranching town of Cotulla, Texas. Having been raised in a small town, Christian wanted to see as much of the world as soon as he could.

From the ages of 18 to 23, Christian traveled the world flying as a Crew Master Plane Captain on military cargo planes (C-130s) in the United States Marine Corps. It was nostalgia for this period of his life that inspired Christian to pick up a camera. The absence of travel and beauty from different cultures in different places inspired a desire to document life in a different way.

Always a writer, Osio earned his Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Texas San Antonio. Words, however, were not enough to satisfy his creative drive. After graduating from UTSA in the fall of 2018, Osio earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from the New York Film Academy in January 2021.

Today, Osio does professional studio headshots and portraits; capturing subjects in their best light and providing masterful retouching. Most days he’s either on the road with his mobile studio set up, or he’s experimenting with lighting designs in his home studio. He also has several ongoing landscape and cityscape projects that sometimes lead him around the world. Osio’s style aims to accentuate the transition from light to shadow while featuring deep colors and solid composition.
